Position: Managing Director

Brian served as a senior Army communicator attaining the rank of Master Sergeant before retiring in 2007.  While his military career spanned over 22 years, he served only two organizations; The White House and the Army’s most elite Special Missions Unit.  After retirement, Brian excelled in the private sector as a leader at the White House, the National Security Agency, the US Special Operations Command amongst others.

In the refining fires of over 150 operations spanning five continents and four US Presidential administrations, continuous problem solving, ground-up leadership, team cohesion, and mission focus were mainstays.  As a leader at The White House Communications Agency Brian assured global information services were provided to the President, Vice President, and others as directed, ensuring the White House was able to communicate with anyone, under any conditions.

Post White House, Brian served the Army’s most elite Special Missions Unit.  In an organization that welcomed small failures, but allowed no room for catastrophic failure, Brian continued to hone his leadership abilities.  The stakes were different, but the prowess developed at the White House brought him success in the Special Operations arena.  Brian, was surrounded by great leaders who taught him how to create other high-quality leaders and cultures that win.

With 22 years of military service, and 15 as a civilian leader, Brian understands there is no single approach when operating in fast-paced, dynamic environments.  He challenges others to lean-in and fully embrace problems, live with them, and work through them to achieve defined goals.  While challenges may be difficult and complex, the solutions don’t have to be.  Brian has honed the skill of hearing through the problem to find the simple solutions that can often be applied quickly to great effect.

Brian is passionate about the development of others.  Leveraging each individual’s strengths, he assists individuals and small teams to take their company’s strategic vision and articulate it so others can make the evolutionary changes to accelerate towards accomplishing the tasks and achieve success.   These small, agile and dynamic groups are where the rubber meets the road and individualized transformation creates legacy.

When applied well, varied life experiences and professional development are the best education around.  Take what we learn from the scrapes and bumps along the way, include some wise mentorship and what you have is a life legacy to be proud of.  Not just in the professional realm, but keeping those values in alignment with family and friend relationships.  Brian resides in North Carolina is a proud husband and father and enjoys waking up at 4:50 am to meet outdoors, rain or shine, for fitness with other crazy, like-minded people, who want to make themselves stronger and better.
